We do this by providing a wide range of products and services that enhance our customers’ image and help keep their facilities and employees clean and safe—every day.
We ensure that employees from restaurants, hotels and cruise lines—among many other businesses—wear a Cintas uniform to work.
The company now leads the industry in supplying corporate identity uniform programs, providing entrance and safety mats, restroom supplies, promotional products, first aid, safety, fire protection products and services, and industrial carpet and tile cleaning. We operate almost 400 facilities in North America, Europe and Latin America—including five manufacturing plants and eight distribution centers.
Cintas was founded by Richard T. Farmer, Chairman Emeritus. Robert J. Kohlhepp serves as Chairman of the Board, Scott D. Farmer is Chief Executive Officer and J. Phillip Holloman serves as President and Chief Operating Officer. With the guidance of this leadership team, and the diligent work of the over 30,000 employee-partners, Cintas has achieved continued success and is traded over the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol CTAS, and is a component of the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index.
Cintas services more than 900,000 business customers that range from independent auto repair shops to large hotel chains with the following products and services:
Every minute our customers spend shopping for cleaning supplies and managing inventory is time away from their business. Our trusted services, smarter products and expert training deliver a cleaner, better image—faster.
We help keep our customers’ businesses running safe and sound with programs built just for them. We don’t just deliver. We stock and inventory customers’ first aid & safety products and conduct emergency first aid training—giving them peace of mind and making sure they’re always prepared.
Image is everything. We know that how our customers dress—along with a clean, professional looking facility—makes a positive impact on their customers, business and staff.
Cintas is a unique company whose success is a result of our special relationship with our employees—whom we call “partners.” Ours is a culture of integrity, trust, respect, and cooperation. We appreciate our partners and demonstrate that appreciation with competitive wages and benefits, a wide range of health insurance coverage options, profit sharing, 401(k) matching contributions, the opportunity for stock ownership, wellness programs, and clean, safe work environments. We currently employ more than 30,000 employee-partners at 400 facilities in North America and Latin America—including six manufacturing plants and eight distribution centers.
Additionally, we support our partners serving our country and actively recruit from the U.S. armed forces. We further support partners with programs like Cintas Adopt a Partner, which helps co-workers in need; Adopt a Military Partner, which keeps active-duty partners connected to home and working partners; and special recognition for partners that go above and beyond. Cintas ranks as one of the nation’s top military-friendly employers, has won multiple local Best Places to Work honors, and is proud of our many safety awards. We recognize that our company draws its strength from our partners, and we work hard to earn and keep the trust of our workforce.
Richard T. Farmer, Cintas’ Founder & Chairman Emeritus says, “Corporate culture is the single most important distinguishing factor between greatness and mediocrity. It is a major reason Cintas is different from our competitors and other companies. It is our ultimate competitive advantage.” Since 1929, when “Doc” Farmer began his family business, a key to our success has been a culture that encourages meaningful, respectful relationships between the company and our employee-partners and the commitment to always do what’s right. This spirit of teamwork, camaraderie and trust has become our most important competitive advantage and is a cornerstone of the Cintas culture.
Culture at Cintas is comprised of three elements:
Our Principle Objective
We will exceed our customers’ expectations to maximize the long-term value of Cintas for its shareholders and working partners.
Our Corporate Character
We are professional. We have high ethical and moral values, a sense of competitive urgency and positive discontent.
Our Management System
We have a dynamic management system of policies and procedures.
